In the example here, we show you how to add a new problem to the problem list in a patient record.  As you start to type a diagnosis (a medical problem), notice that a list of the variations of that problem pop up in a list.  Each already has it’s five digit ICD-9 code attached to it and is also entered into the patient’s record simultaneously so the billing service has the information they need to appropriately bill for the service.
